Established in 1979, the Academy utilizes an interdisciplinary group of specialists that integrate the three basic aspects of the cranio-facial system: occlusion (bite), TMJ dysfunction, and aesthetic requirements. The series of courses consists of five core sessions totaling approximately 90 hours of lecture and hands-on training.
Peter Dawson is a brilliant dentist-educator who supports his results with evidence-based data. Since incorporating the Academy’s principle into my practice, a week does not go by without seeing the benefits of their teachings and techniques. A large number of patients report significant relief from carefully fabricated bite appliances and adjustments. Story after story of reduced facial stress and joint pain flows into our office. A very important point to realize is for those about to undergo restorative treatment or a smile makeover, the longevity of their dentistry will be significantly increased by incorporating this conservative technique.
